Description
The Volunteer Management Team Member plays a key role in supporting the recruitment, onboarding, and engagement of volunteers across Connections Community Services Society (CCSS). Working closely with the Volunteer Coordinator, you will help foster a welcoming environment and ensure volunteers are well-supported in their roles to maximize impact in the Richmond community.
Commitment: 3–4 hours per week
Mode: Hybrid (Remote & In-Person as needed)
Responsibilities
- Review volunteer applications and assist with screening and interview scheduling.
- Guide new volunteers through onboarding, orientation, and training documentation.
- Help track volunteer hours, update records in the volunteer database, and compile activity reports.
- Maintain communication with volunteers, answering inquiries and sharing program updates.
- Assist in planning volunteer recognition events, appreciation initiatives, and feedback check-ins.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
- High level of reliability, empathy, and organizational skills.
- Experience or comfort using administrative software, databases, or Google Workspace.
- Ability to manage sensitive applicant information with confidentiality.
