Why Connections?

More than childcare. A place to belong.

We want every child to feel safe, known and welcomed — with space to be themselves, discover what they can do and build meaningful connections.

Caring Relationships

Warm, consistent relationships help children feel secure, build confidence and become comfortable exploring new experiences.

Learning Through Play

Art, building, sensory experiences and open-ended materials turn children's natural curiosity into meaningful learning.

Room to Explore

Indoor and outdoor experiences give children opportunities to move, imagine, investigate and discover.

Growing Independence

Everyday choices and routines help children develop independence, communication, social skills and confidence.

Life at Connections

Childhood should be full of moments like these.

Laughter, friendship, colour, creativity, experiments and new discoveries are all part of a child's learning journey.

Play is how children make sense of the world. Through play, children practise communication, creativity, problem-solving, cooperation and expressing their own ideas.

Hi everyone, it’s my pleasure to become an Early Childhood Educator at Connections Community Services Society.

I am Harmony Choi, and I was an English teacher in middle schools in Hong Kong for around 20 years before I came to Canada. With my specialty in the education field teaching children and teenagers and my passion for supporting young children’s development, I am particularly passionate about nurturing children’s holistic development and creating a supportive and caring learning environment where every child feels valued.

I am fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, which allows me to effectively support children and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.

I am dedicated, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young children. I believe in building strong relationships with families and creating meaningful learning experiences that support each child’s development.

“I truly believe in the potentials and uniqueness in every individual child!”

✈ Fun Fact I love making positive changes to the lives of others. And I love travelling and exploring about this world. My dream is to enjoy life, having different kinds of experiences and travelling around this world.
