Program Assistant

    Description

    Program Assistants play a key behind-the-scenes role in making CCSS’s diverse community programs run smoothly. You’ll work directly with program leaders and other volunteers to support various CCSS programs and events. A great fit for organized and independent volunteers.

    🗓 Schedule: Varies by program (see below)

     ⏰ Time: 1.5–3 hours per session

     📍 Location: Connections Community Services Society (CCSS)

      #110 – 7580 River Road, Richmond, BC V6X 1X6

     📅 Commitment: Varies by program, usually 3 months

    Programs needing volunteers:

    • Senior Club House
    • Senior Art Class
    • WeWalk WeTalk Summer Challenge
    • Senior Sports Day

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Assist with participant registration and check-in
    • Manage WhatsApp or WeChat group communication
    • Set up and take down materials or equipment
    • Take event photos for promotional use
    • Report program updates to program leaders

    Requirements/Skills

    • Highly organized and proactive
    • Comfortable using digital communication tools
    • Ability to work independently
    • Cantonese or Mandarin a plus
    • Enjoy working in a community-oriented environment
