Celebrating Lunar New Year, supporting families through free tax help, and bringing people together with spring programs.

On a breezy Sunday before Lunar New Year, CCSS came alive with laughter, movement, and connection as seniors gathered to celebrate the Year of the Horse through games, performances, shared meals and joyful moments.

CCSS is offering free, in-person tax help this spring to support eligible individuals and families with simple tax returns.

Connections Kids Club is proud to expand our licensed Before & After School Care services to Spul’u’kwuks Elementary School, marking a milestone in Richmond as the first program operating directly in a school library. Opening in March 2026, this calm, familiar, and learning-friendly environment offers children a safe and engaging space before and after the school day—while providing families with reliable care that aligns with the school schedule.

CBC News recently visited Connections Community Services Society (CCSS)’s Generations Homework Club at the Richmond Public Library, featuring how high school volunteers provide one-on-one support for students in Grades 4–7—helping newcomer children build vocabulary, strengthening writing skills, and keeping learning curiosity alive.
