Celebrating Mother’s Day with New Learning Opportunities

Dear Community Partners,

This Mother’s Day season, we are excited to introduce the Connections Learning Centre (CLC) – a new community initiative by CCSS dedicated to lifelong learning, creativity, personal growth, and meaningful connection 💐

CLC brings together diverse workshops, leadership programs, and community learning opportunities designed for children, youth, adults, and seniors. Through accessible and engaging programs, we hope to create a welcoming space where community members can explore new interests, build confidence, and connect with others.

In this special edition, we’re excited to share some of the very first programs launching through CLC, alongside opportunities that support youth development and community well-being.

To all mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, and families in our community: thank you for the care, strength, and love you bring every day. We wish you a joyful and meaningful Mother’s Day 🌸

🎓 Youth Voices on Mental Health & School Experiences

From October 2025 to April 2026, the CCSS Youth Focus Group brought together passionate young individuals to explore key issues related to mental health and school experiences. Through two focused subgroups, participants held regular meetings over six months, designed questionnaires, conducted street interviews and online surveys to analyze real challenges faced by youth.

As youth themselves, participants contributed authentic perspectives, meaningful insights, and practical coping strategies. Their work culminated in a thoughtful final presentation that highlights the importance of youth voices in shaping supportive communities. We sincerely thank all participants for their dedication, openness, and valuable contributions.
