From the launch of our Friends of Connections membership program to youth engagement projects, volunteer-led services, and summer opportunities, there’s plenty to explore this month.
We hope these updates inspire you to get involved, stay connected, and make the most of the season. Wishing you a wonderful May filled with warmth, growth, and community spirit!

Special thanks to our launch partners for their exceptional support to make this possible. We warmly invite you to join as a member or partner with us as a community merchant to expand your reach while supporting a local cause.

🪶 Community Indigenous Sharing Circle
CCSS warmly invites Indigenous community members in Richmond and beyond to join our upcoming Community Indigenous Sharing Circle.
This gathering offers a safe and respectful space for connection, dialogue, and storytelling. Sharing circles are a meaningful Indigenous practice that encourages listening, reflection, and community voice.
Come enjoy some fry bread, connect with others, and share your thoughts on what you would like to see in Indigenous programming in our community. Your voice matters, and your input will help shape future programs.

📊 CCSS Tax Clinic 2026 – A Successful Season!
As tax season concluded, we are proud to share that our Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) successfully completed over 100 tax returns, providing multilingual support in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin to better serve our diverse community.
This year, our Free Tax Clinic operated from March 9 to April 24 across four locations: CCSS Head Office, City Centre Community Centre, Courtyard Gardens Retirement Residence and Richmond Public Library.
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to 20 dedicated volunteers who served as tax preparers and greeters. Their professionalism, commitment and generosity ensured that individuals and families could access essential tax services with confidence and ease.
Special thanks to City Centre Community Centre and Richmond Public Library (Brighouse Branch) for hosting our tax clinics.
