CCSS Celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival with Community Dinner
Connections Community Services Society (CCSS) hosted its Mid-Autumn Festival Dinner at a restaurant in Richmond on September 18, 2026, welcoming 75 guests for a warm evening filled with festive traditions, friendship and laughter.
Among those attending were CCSS Board Chair Gary Ma, Board Secretary Cora Lai, Board Member Ornella Tolfo, and Executive Director Daniel Suen. They were joined volunteer Tai Chi instructor as well as friends from the Vancouver Society in Support of Education (VSSE).
Guests enjoyed a variety of Mid-Autumn-themed activities throughout the evening, including lantern riddles, a candle-blowing challenge and group singing. The activities brought plenty of fun to the dinner while giving all an opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and make new friends. Everyone also brought home with a mooncake, a lantern and a lucky draw prize.
CCSS would like to extend a special thank you to our senior volunteer Eleanor Tang, who led the planning and coordination of the dinner. Her dedication, along with the support of our other volunteers and staff, helped make the evening a memorable experience for everyone.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Foody Mart, One Cafe, and our generous gift donors for their contributions and support. Their sponsorship added an extra touch of joy to the evening.
Thank you everyone for joining us. CCSS is delighted to bring people together, share cultural traditions, and foster lasting friendships within our community to celebrate for the Mid-Autumn Festival.
