WeWalk WeTalk Summer Challenge – Event Support

    Description

    The WeWalk WeTalk Summer Challenge is an 8-week community wellness initiative designed for seniors running from July 12 to Aug 30. The program encourages participants to stay active, socially connected, and engaged through walking, companionship, weekly themed events, and healthy lifestyle challenges. 

    Roles: 
    Assist participants with hands-on projects, accompany seniors on light walks and engage in friendly conversations, collaborate with a group of seniors to complete event-specific challenges.
    Requirements: Speak Cantonese and/or Mandarin
     
    Commitment: 3 shifts (Priority would be given to those who can commit to > 3 shifts throughout the program)
     
    Location: CCSS7580 River Rd #110, Richmond, BC
     
    Volunteers are needed on the following Sundays:
    • Volunteer Orientation and Briefing (July 5, 10-11am) – MUST ATTEND
    • Week 1 (July 12, 9am – 12nn) – Walkathon 
    • Week 2 (July 19, 9:30am – 12nn)  FIFA Themed Fun 
    • Week 4 (August 2, 9:30am – 12nn) – Making Healthy Snacks
    • Week 7 (August 23, 9:30am – 12nn) – Arts and Crafts
    • Week 8 (August 30, 1-5pm) – Program End Party
