Soaring Through November!
Dear Community Partners,
As November comes to a close, weβre taking a moment to celebrate the creativity, learning, and connection shared across our community.
In this issue, we invite kids to join our fun-packed Winter Camp. Weβre also supporting community locally and abroad through clothing donation drive to Dr. Njenga Foundation Charity. We share the creative learning experiences from Generations Homework Club and the community fun through our first-ever speed puzzling competition.
Letβs keep the momentum going as we look ahead to the holiday season and carry forward the warmth of giving and the spirit of community.
π« CKC 2025 Winter Camp β Registration Now Opens!
Our Winter Camp is just around the corner, offering a fun-filled, action-packed experience for kids in grades K-7. From outdoor adventures to creative activities, there’s something for everyone this winter!
All kids are welcome, with priority registration given to students currently attending the four CKC elementary schools (Blundell, Cook, Tait & Caulfield).
The 4-day Winter Camp will be held at Cook Elementary School from Dec 29, 2025 to Jan 2, 2026 (excluding Jan 1). The fee is $200 for 4 days, with full-week enrollment required.
Donβt miss out on this chance for your child to make new friends, try new activities, and create lasting memories.
π€ Generations Homework Club
Beyond pencils, papers and homework, the homework club has transformed into a friendly environment of both learning and creative expression. From fostering early academic curiosity in students through tutor guidance to turning the classroom into a mini art studio with rock painting, the space is not just for students’ homework, but also their interests.
Aside from painting, students’ were also engaged in building paper airplanes! Ranging from simple, sleek dart-like designs to wild, unconventional wings, the kids expressed creativity in the form of their own planes.
What separates GHC and other programs is the bonds forming between generations. The kids are growing their confidence, the tutors are building their leadership, and the space is creating a sense of community that continues to strengthen with each passing session.
