Generations Homework Club (GHC) is a free after school program for elementary students in Grades 4–7 led by youth and young adult volunteers. We provide students assistance with their homework as well as offering other fun activities.

It is a great opportunity for youth and young adults to develop into role models and community leaders through tutoring, communication, leadership, organization, mentorship, conflict resolution, time management and teamwork skills.

Homework club tutor-mentors consist of local high school students, post-secondary students or adult volunteers who undergo training to offer mentoring support. We strive to have a 1-on-1 matching between tutors and students. For each tutoring session, students spend approximately 50 minutes to an hour with their tutors on their schoolwork. It will follow by team building activities which enhance students’ social and leadership skills, fostering confidence. There will also be free, light refreshments for each session. However, parents are responsible for the transportation of their children before and after each session.
