On September 26, Connections Community Services Society (CCSS) hosted a Truth and Reconciliation Ceremony at the Richmond Cultural Centre, bringing community members together for an afternoon of listening, learning and reflection.

Hosted by Shadae Johnson, CCSS Indigenous Program Coordinator, the gathering featured Indigenous speakers and performers, including Sheila Maracle, Kanihyn Naytowhow, Norm Leech, Iona Paul, Alec Dan, and Coastal Wolf Pack (Tsatsu Stalqyu).

Through Indigenous voices, drumming, singing, dancing and meaningful dialogue, the ceremony provided an opportunity for our community to learn, reflect and come together on the ongoing journey of Truth and Reconciliation.

CCSS extends our sincere thanks to all speakers, performers, volunteers and community members who joined us. 🧡
